Job Description

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Petroleum Parts Specialist.

Are you ready to embark on an opportunity that blends your parts / warehouse / distribution experience with excellent customer service? We're seeking a Petroleum Parts Specialist at our New Stanton or Ebensburg, PA location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide a superior level of support to the Service and Sales Departments and Oil and Gas customers throughout the Cleveland Brothers territory. Serve as a member of the Petroleum Parts Group. Work with customers and technicians to determine the best solution to parts needs. Monitor back orders and provide customers with order updates. Work with Caterpillar analysts to expedite parts as needed. Follow policies and procedures to reduce customer issues such as billing, parts shortages, packaging, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

-Assist internal and external customers with placing orders

-Discuss and present alternative solutions (e.g., General Duty/Reman/Used)

-Advise customer of additional related parts (e.g., gaskets/seals/hardware)

-Maintain accurate customer and equipment information in CRM

-Assist inventory control dept with demand planning of critical parts

-Keep customers informed of new parts, services available and dealer merchandising programs

-Advise customer on substitution of part when replacement is not available

-Complete training as required and/or available; train others as requested

-Participate in the Petroleum Parts Group on call rotation

-Travel to customer sites or other branches as required

-Perform other duties as assigned by management

Basic Knowledge, Fundamental Skills, and Minimum Abilities:

-Comprehensive understanding of the practices, programs, policies and procedures of the company and CAT parts delivery process

-Thorough knowledge of Oil and Gas product line (3500/3600 engines)

-Considerable analytical abilities in interpreting pricing, scheduling and delivery requirements

-Excellent decision making and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform effectively in an environment of various levels of complexity, priorities and time schedule deadlines

-Solid working skills in computer applications, including Lotus Notes, DBS and Microsoft Office or similar software

-Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision

-State issued motor vehicle license and clean driving record

Performance Measures:

-Number of customer returns

-Customer orders

-Order completeness

-Customer satisfaction/loyalty

-Lost sales reporting

Education/Experience:

Individual should have a high school diploma or equivalent; three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual should have above average communication skills as well as a mechanical aptitude.
